Spring is a time that highlights the shared nature of agriculture. While each operation is different, the challenges and opportunities we face are often the same. That’s where the CCFB continues to play an important role, working behind the scenes to support your operation not just during planting season, but year-round.
Whether it’s advocating for sound policy in Springfield and Washington, supporting local programs, or providing resources to help you navigate an increasingly complex business environment, our goal remains the same: to strengthen agriculture and serve you as a member.
This spring, that work continues on several fronts. We are engaged in ongoing legislative discussions that impact property rights, energy development, and farm succession—issues that directly affect your ability to operate and plan for the future. At the same time, we’re focused locally on building connections, supporting the next generation of farmers, and ensuring our organization remains strong and responsive to member needs.
They say that April showers bring May flowers, but April showers also bring impatient farmers. When a field window does open, I encourage you to stay connected.
If you have concerns, ideas, or simply want to get more involved, your voice matters. The CCFB is at its strongest when it reflects the priorities of our members.
