Solar Power Program 3-24-16
Solar Urbana-Champaign, a group purchasing program for solar
Interested in solar energy for your farm or rural small business? Join us for a special Solar Power Hour to learn how rural small businesses & agricultural producers throughout Champaign County can realize the quickest return on their solar energy investment in the state. Free educational sessions available on  MARCH 24th from 5-7PM at the Champaign County Farm Bureau.
At each of these sessions, the USDA's Mary Warren will begin the Solar Power Hour by explaining the ins and outs of the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). REAP is a USDA program that offers grants & guaranteed loans for qualified energy efficiency & renewable energy projects to rural small businesses & agricultural producers. Max Pike of the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) will then introduce the Solar Urbana-Champaign program & the local solar installation partner StraightUp Solar. Solar Urbana-Champaign is a limited-time group buy program made possible through a U.S. Department of Energy Sunshot Grant that offers all homeowners & businesses within Champaign County the opportunity to purchase high-quality solar installations at the lowest cost in the state.
